the site’s been open for a little over half a week now, which means the admins are gearing up for the site event! we’re happy to reveal that we’re starting off with a bang: the kidnapping and torture of several aurors and aurors-in-training by death eaters and, their subsequent rescue attempt (or possible SUCCESS?) by a small team of order members!
with that said, we know a lot of you are still working on apps, and that’s just fine. we’ve been open since sunday and people are threading and posting and playing games and talking in the cbox, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. we just want to remind you that we gave everyone an extra three days to finish up with tumblr reserves, but they run out tomorrow at 8 pm EST/7 pm CST/5 pm PST/2 am GMT. you are more than welcome to re-reserve after your time has run out. all reserves last 72 hours.
please don’t let the apps stress you out. they are such a minor thing. honestly. we’d rather your app be short and to the point so we can plot and play with you than have you stress and agonize over them for weeks on end. you can always go back and edit and add things later, if you want!

we are pleased to inform you that THE SITE IS NOW OPEN! click on the banner above to be transported to our site, where you can register as your characters (first and last name in lowercase!) and finally start playing on the boards! remember to take a look at our rules before you do anything else, just so we all start out on the same page!
if you’re not done with your application, don’t worry! tumblr reserves last for 72 more hours, and if you need an extension after that, just let us know and we’ll hook you up.
after you’re accepted, remember to go to the sign ups forum before you do anything else and claim your canon, face, and character’s career. then post your shipper, get to plotting, posting, and having fun! we have au boards and a time turner forum for you to take advantage of, and we’ll be posting information about the first event within the next few days!
we love you guys, and we’ve enjoyed all the fun we’ve had talking and getting to know all of you over the past few days. let’s keep it up and really enjoy ourselves!

hey guys! we’re loving all the prompts and the blurbs and graphics we’re seeing in the tag- the creativity that y’all are showing is really amazing. tomorrow y’all should be getting a sneak peek (TELL US WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE!!) and the official release date should be following once we settle on it but in the mean time i want to discuss something with you guys that i hope y’all are already know!
we are not going to be allowing original order members or death eaters to be made (at least not in the beginning). we are not doing this to be rude or to be exclusive at all- we’re merely doing this because we want to be as faithful to canon as we possibly can. we know from photographs and stories who was in the order and we know from the family lines who was a death eater. if you have an incredibly strong case as to why your character should be added, we will have a discussion between the admins about it.
on that note- making a civilian does not mean you will be ignored. we hope no one feels the need to make someone in the order/death eaters just so they’ll get plotted with. the order was fairly small and they all had lives outside of it. we encourage people to make the professors and the shop keepers and the ministry workers (!!!) and quidditich players and journalists for the daily prophet and everyone in the wizarding community. we want nahw to be a community where everyone can plot with one another and everyone has a good time. of course your civilian can be an order supporter or death eater supporter or, hell, they can not really give two shakes about either side! it’s up to you but we wanted to stress that you will not be ignored for not having an order member/death eater!

since we’ll be opening soon (very soon we’ll release the official time and date!), we figured that it was a good a time as any to give y’all the application code! now, don’t worry if it doesn’t look very good on your tester site- the code is built into the skin so i’ll look absolutely stunning when you post it on the site (think of it as a nice surprise when you post it!). we have posted the application code onto pastebin, but if something is wrong please let us know and we’ll give that sorted asap!
